For Homework we had to pick 3 sentences and tell what we think the Author is trying to tell us I used the book Harry Potter.
My sentences are theses.
"Not for the first time an argument had broken out over breakfast at number 4, Privet drive. Mr. Vernon Dursley had been woken in the early hours of the mourning by a loud hooting noise from his nephew Harry's room."
I think the author is trying to tell us that something big is going to happen and it's a big part of a story, and these's sentences are a little hint for it, to get the reader a little excited.
